Being deprived of a good nights sleep for long periods will no doubt affect your daily performance routines.  Whether the lack fo sleep is from chronic insomnia, RLS – Restless Legs Syndrome, sleep apnea or one of the other sleep disorders, the danger of sleep deprivation is undeniably hazardous to many aspects of one’s life.  It can generate problems in your personal life, your professional life and simple every day activities. We all need a certain amount of sleep in order to function properly, and sleep helps a body repair itself and re-energize for the next day.  And if we don’t get sufficient sleep then our body does its best to adjust, but this isn’t always successful.

Chronic sleeplessness, also described as sleep deprivation, can also lead to irritability, anxiety and depression and unfortunately, emotional frustration is one symptom that plenty people feel they do not need to address.  Some even fail to see how their mood swings and emotional breakdowns or outbursts are linked to sleep, opting instead to assign the blame elsewhere and divert attention away from the ultimate cause – a lack of sleep.
