Portable electricity for camping?

Is there anyway to power a device while camping without electrical hookups?

I suffer from Sleep Apnea and without the CPAP machine, I snore so loud it would keep everyone camped within 100 yards up all night. Plus, I would be tired and irritable the next day. It's a small device and takes about 60VA (typical power consumption), <350 VA (maximum power consumption).

My buddy has sleep apnea to, me and him both bought our own portable gas generator. Its a Honda EU2000. Its so quiet! I have a 30 foot extension cord. When its 30 feet away you can hardly hear it. If you are talking and have a radio playing you cant even hear it. It will run 15 hours on one tank of gas. I payed $985 brand new for mine, but i use it all the time. I use it for a fan, electric skillet, satellite radio, lights, lap top, charging cell phone, heater, and much more. And its a Honda, it will last for years! I can carry it around with one hand. Here is a link.

You can get a converter that changes 12 volts battery power to 120 volts AC.

I have the same thing – I usually sleep poorly or not at all, but I consider it worth it just to get to go camping. If you are in a camper or in a tent near a car (and don’t have to worry about backpacking your stuff), then you could do what the first contributor suggested or use a small generator (both can be expensive options). Otherwise, don’t stay up too late and take some kind of sleep aid – and don’t make strenuous plans for the following day. I’d like to know of an easier way myself.

they have little generators that have outlests on them. just charge them before you go camping and your set.

My dad keeps his machine on a generator overnight for his apnea.

Most camgrounds don’t allow generators running after 10pm. best bet would be the batteries and a power inverter.
