Snoring is a disease caused by the passage of the air becoming narrower to your lungs. If you follow the below steps, i can guarantee you that snoring will be stopped forever:
1. If you are a smoker, stop smoking.
2. If you are fatter, please reduce your weight.
3. Do not eat fatty and oily food.
4. Eat healthy food and remember to have atleast 3 hours of time between your Dinner and Sleep time.
Nasal strips are one of the most popular remedies for snoring. These are drug-free, non-prescription devices that work mechanically to keep your nose open and make breathing easier.
Nasal strips typically consist of one or more bands of plastic embedded in an adhesive pad. When properly placed across the nose, the bands attempt to straighten. This action lifts the sides of the nose, widening the space in the nasal valve and helping to maintain airflow throughout the night.
We used to list more than one brand of nasal strip in this space, but as of mid-2006, it appears that Breathe Right has vanquished all competitors.
Nasal support devices
Another way to keep the nasal passages open is to work from inside the nostrils.
Brahms Sleep Aid, an adjustable device that fits in the nose
Breathe Again Nasal Cones, rubber cones that fit in your nostrils and keep the nasal airways open
Breathe EZ, a small nose clip made of soft washable urethane material that clips on the septum.
Breathe with EEZ, a nasal insert
Nose Brace, a nasal insert that can be worn day and night
NoseWorks is a light plastic device that prevents the collapse of the sides of your nose as you sleep.
Nozovent does the same thing.
Sinus Cones fit in the nose; the manufacturer claims they can even help those with deviated septums
Snore Free, a nose clip with the added feature of including two earth magnets, which stimulate the sensory nerves of the nose, opening the nasal passages.
Nose sprays and drops
Another approach to the problem is to reduce your nasal secretions (that’s what the homeopathic solutions do, as well as most over-the-counter allergy medicines) — or reduce the swelling in your nasal passages. One such solution, available by prescription only, is Nasacort AQ nasal spray.
My husband uses the nasal strips. But I bet if he lost 20-30 lbs, he would stop all together. My mom was a severe snorer and discovered that she had sleep apnea. She uses a machine that forces air through her nose, she sleeps a lot better now and there is NO snoring!
Give up smoking if you are a smoker.Do some deep breathing exercises like Pranayama regularly.Reduce some weight.Reduce your intake of heavy and fried stuff drastically. And last but not the least make it a habit to take dinner at least two hours before sleeping.
You should see the ear nose and throat doctor, sometimes the cartilage in your nose on one side can grow crocked or close. Some an anti allergy med helps too. Also, get a couple blocks of wood and place them under the front part of your bed and this will help elevate your bed so it will allow the throat and chest not to be so blocked. If you are a little heavy around the neck, this will cause this as well, must exercise to get rid of that and if you have problems that prevent you from exercising, then try to cut down a few pounds. In the mean time elevate your bed the way I said. Building up pillows really don’t work all that well because your neck will eventually will get crunched up and make it worse. I would also check with doctor to make sure this is not associated with sleep apnea, I may have misspelled the apnea. this could be a sign of a dangerous condition so check into it if your snoring is that bad. B.T.W. everyone snores. it is how bad is what is the concern or what should be a concern. Don’t listen to those rude people, they probably sleep alone. Good Luck.
If your snoring is related to a health issue (like sleep-apnea, weight, blood pressure, diabetes…) – see a doctor, it should be controllable
If your snoring is related to fatigue, slow down your life pace.
In some cases, snoring can be related to sleep POSTURE, if you snore while sleeping in one posture, just change your sleeping posture.
so dont sleep
