How much does lack of sleep add to weight loss?

My sleeping pattern is based on American West Coast. I go to sleep around 6-7am, and wake up around 5pm even though I'm still shattered tired. Oddly, when I wake up earlier, I feel better in throughout the day. Regardless, I know lack of sleep is a factor but how much of a big factor is it?

Nothing. Weight loss or gain is a factor of how many calories a day you take in versus how much you burn.
Irregular hours and a lack of sleep can lead to health problems.
In fact, studies are beginning to show that people who do not get healthy sleep can have weight problems. Of course, a lack of sleep usually makes an individual gain weight.
However, activity level and diet are still larger factors in weight gain.
